The Zewar e Taleem Program strives to assist students who, for various reasons, face challenges in continuing their education after completing primary school. This program has been put into action by the government in 16 districts characterized by low literacy rates, where conditional cash assistance is offered to female students.
The main aim of this initiative is to motivate young girls to pursue education by addressing their health and nutritional needs and improving their attendance at school. The designated branches of the PSPA (Program Support and Preparer Agency) are entrusted with the responsibility of distributing funds to eligible beneficiaries.
Punjab Social Protection Authority (Government of Punjab)
The Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) is presently extending cash financial aid to more than 730,085 individuals through three distinct conditional and unconditional programs. These programs encompass the Universal Cash Transfer (UCT) for individuals with learning disabilities, as well as the Bricklin Program. Moreover, the PWDS initiative supports 67,069 people with disabilities.
In line with the vision of the Prime Minister, the Ehsaas programs in Punjab aim to offer financial assistance to vulnerable and impoverished populations, enabling them to attain a respectable position in society. To effectively execute the federal government’s initiatives, the Punjab government has established the Punjab Social Protection Authority program. Its primary objective is to ensure economic and social security for the underprivileged and deserving segments of the country.
