To check your eligibility for the Benazir Kafalat program, you can participate in the NSAR program’s survey. You can verify your status online through the 8171 web portal by entering your National Identity Card (CNIC) number.
Eligible families are notified through messages about their eligibility and the disbursement of funds from the Benazir Kafalat Program via 8171.
When receiving messages related to the Benazir Kafalat program, ensure they are sent from 8171. Do not trust messages received from any other number, as they might be fake. Do not reply or share any personal details, such as your CNIC number, home address, or bank account details, with such messages. If you receive any suspicious message, report it to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s complaint number. No fee is charged for filing a complaint.
Who is eligible for the Benazir sponsorship program?
The following individuals are eligible for the Benazir sponsorship program:
- Poor and deserving individuals.
- Those with a PMD (Poverty Measurement and Data) score below 30%.
- Widows, orphans, and the elderly are specifically targeted for this program.
- Individuals who have not traveled abroad.
- Individuals who do not own more than two acres of land.
How to receive Benazir Kafalat Program Allowance
Married women who are eligible will receive a message from 8171. Upon receiving the message, the eligible woman should visit the PSO retailer appointed by Habib Bank/Bank Al Falah with her original identity card. The woman can then receive the Benazir sponsorship amount after thumb verification. Subsequent installments can be withdrawn from ATMs in addition to the POS retailer.
In case the record is not available on the portal when checking through 8171, any family member should visit the registration desk at the BISP Tehsil Office with their original identity card.
